The pair of matched serial number MPC sold on eBay about about 9pm today. It sold for approximately $417 with a surprising 31 bids. Of course the bidding did not really start until less than a minute to go. Three bids were placed in the last 20 seconds. The eBay ID of the buyer was the-papertrader. Analysis of other items bought by the person indicated that he (she?) buys Rolls-Royce and Bently auto parts. Errror checking has been enhanced. The serial number prefix entered is now checked against the series entered. Denominations are also checked to make sure that $20 certificates are not entered for series without this denomination. When an error is caught the person entering the data is notified and asked to fix it. You can now look at the number of notes entered according to user ID. The list can then be sorted by user ID, and number of entries and those can be sorted in either direction. Below is a list of the top five entering individuals. First is the user ID number, then the number of notes entered. On the other hand, I do not have much to talk about. Well, maybe I do. The two news stories above are related. The pair that sold on eBay was identified by the MPC data base. All of this was fun! It is also the result of Doug Bell’s work to create the data base and the efforts of many collectors to input notes.
